Job Summary
The General Practitioner (GP) will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all age groups. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses in a clinical setting. The GP will also play a key role in promoting preventative health measures, educating patients, and ensuring high standards of patient care in accordance with national health policies and clinical guidelines.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. They will collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and contribute to the continuous improvement of services within the hospital.
Conduct thorough patient consultations to assess medical histories, symptoms, and health concerns.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions, both acute and chronic.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work, X-rays, and ECGs.
Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
Provide emergency medical care and perform minor procedures when necessary.
Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals for advanced care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using hospital information systems.
Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and administrative staff to deliver coordinated care.
Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings as required
Who Has interest in assisting neurosurgical and gynecologic procedures
Ensure compliance with medical ethics, hospital policies, and national healthcare regulations.
Take part in continuous medical education (CME) and professional development activities.
Support hospital outreach programs, immunization campaigns, and community health initiatives, if applicable.
Minimum Specification Requirement
Educational Qualification & Work Experience
Graduated from an accredited University /Medical college
Minimum 2 years of experience
Valid professional license
Knowledge & Skill requirements
Succeeded in National Competency Exit Exam (51% and above)
Certificate on BLS and ACLS training.
Strong understanding of clinical guidelines, protocols, and evidence-based medicine
Proficiency in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and management of common illnesses.
Have good communication skill.
Have some computer skills.
The ability to offer emotional support to parents, guardians, and family members.
The ability to work in a team.
Language: Fluent in English (oral & written)
