Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Planning & Monitoring Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing hospital strategic, operational, and financial plans. This role involves analyzing data, preparing budgets, monitoring performance indicators, and ensuring the hospital’s strategic objectives are met through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. The officer will support the company’s leadership in resource planning, performance evaluation, and compliance with regulatory standards across all departments. This pivotal role directly contributes to the company's long-term sustainability and success by ensuring strategic alignment and optimal resource utilization.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed analyses of financial, manpower, and physical resource requirements for companywide strategic planning. 

• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term hospital plans based on comprehensive data analysis.

 • Consolidate departmental and unit annual plans and submit for review and approval. 

• Design and maintain standard formats and tools for organizing budget estimates, data collection, and reporting. 

• Assist departments in preparing annual plans and budgets by providing statistical data and analytical support. 

 Monitor the implementation of hospital budgets and strategic initiatives through standard indicators and dashboards. This includes developing and maintaining realtime dashboards for key stakeholders. • Conduct variance analysis, identify deviations from plans, and propose corrective actions. 

• Prepare and analyze hospital performance data, including KPIs, to evaluate progress toward strategic goals. 

• Conduct environmental scanning to analyze market share, industry trends, and external factors impacting hospital operations. 

• Participate in programming activities by setting timelines and coordinating tasks across departments. 

• Support the preparation of hospital strategic and operational plans for approval by senior management. 

• Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments to gather relevant data, facilitate planning, and monitor progress. 

• Lead or participate in hospital committees related to strategic planning, performance management, and quality improvement, serving as a key strategic voice in decision making processes. 

• Prepare reports and presentations for hospital leadership, including the CEO and Board of Directors. 

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies related to planning and performance monitoring. 

• Stay updated on healthcare industry best practices, policies, and technological advancements relevant to hospital planning and monitoring. 

• Foster a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement across departments. 

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports on company performance, financial status, and strategic initiatives. 

• Perform other related activities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements: 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or related fields.

 • Master’s degree in healthcare management, Business Administration, or related fields (preferred). Experience: 

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in healthcare planning, monitoring, or hospital management. 

• Prior experience in multispecialty hospital environments is highly desirable
