Job Description
Surran Import and Export is seeking a qualified and experienced Import Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the import process, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications
Oversee and manage the company’s import operations from start to finish
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs officials
Ensure timely delivery of imported goods while maintaining cost efficiency
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Manage import licenses, permits, and customs clearance processes
Collaborate with internal departments such as logistics, finance, and procurement
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: BA Degree in Management or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an import or trading company
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian import regulations and procedures
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
