Job Description
Position overview: We are seeking passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher Assistants to support our Elementary team for a fixed term as we restructure Elementary department. The ideal candidates will work closely with classroom teachers to support the learning and development of elementary students, providing both academic assistance and behavioral guidance for the school year 2025/26.
Assist the lead teacher in delivering instructional activities for elementary students.
Provide individual or small group support to students who need additional help.
Assist in Learning Support as required.
Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
Help manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
Supervise students during break times and other school activities.
Support the teacher in creating a welcoming and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Participate in school events and contribute to the overall mission and vision of Bingham Academy.
Perform other related tasks as necessary
Education:
Diploma/BA in Teaching / Special needs education or Related field
Teaching certificate/license a plus
Experience:
2 years’ experience teaching international curriculum preferably Cambridge
Experience teaching a diverse body of international students
Experience working in a cross-cultural environment with international staff
Working with small children in different settings
Teaching children through craft and activities
Qty: 2
Other Requirements:
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and flexible approach to work
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
Computer literate
Recommendation from a previous employer or a person known to SIM
