Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented environmental health and safety officer to oversee critical safety, compliance, and risk management functions. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to regulatory standards, drive continuous improvement in workplace safety, and maintain rigorous documentation. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership in cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Prepare and submit timely reports (e.g., quarterly SOP compliance, audit findings).

    • Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation patient safety standards.

  • Safety Inspections & Risk Mitigation:

    • Conduct routine walk rounds, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.

    • Maintain up-to-date inspection logs and safety documentation.

  • Occupational Health Programs:

    • Develop and monitor staff health initiatives (vaccinations, injury prevention, and training).

  • Patient & Environmental Safety:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety governance, leading risk assessments and action plans.

    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal policies.

  • Training & Leadership:

    • Train staff on safety protocols and best practices.

    • Collaborate with leadership to improve safety culture

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Public Health, or related field.

  • Experience:

  • 1+ years in safety compliance, risk management, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, lead inspections, and implement safety programs.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and regulatory documentation.

  • Familiarity with excel sheet or any other basic reporting and analysis tools

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication (written and verbal).

  • Problem-solving and proactive risk mitigation.

  • Leadership in driving compliance culture.

  • Certifications (Preferred): IPC, patient safety, quality management, occupational health and safety
