Job Description
MAG International Business Group is a diversified conglomerate in the process of transforming from a traditional family business into a modern, agile, and professionally managed enterprise. With core operations in construction, real estate, import-export, and manufacturing, the company is pursuing a growth-oriented corporate restructuring agenda.
As part of its strategic transformation into a modern and growth-oriented corporate entity, MAG International Business Group seeks to appoint a dynamic and experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead and optimize daily operational functions across its diverse business units. The COO will play a critical strategic and execution role, ensuring operational excellence, process optimization, interdepartmental coordination, and organizational scalability to support long-term sustainability. This position oversees core operational sub-units including Operations Management, Supply Chain and Logistics, Production and Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC), Facilities Management, Customer Service, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). The COO ensures these units function cohesively to drive performance, enhance resource utilization, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to MAG’s overall transformation and growth agenda.

Core Responsibilities
Strategic Operations Leadership
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with MAG’s vision, business goals, and expansion plans.
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to drive cross-functional synergy, performance improvement, and enterprise value creation.
Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational objectives and KPIs for all business units.
Business Process Optimization
Lead process audits and reengineering initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.
Implement standardized systems, tools, and operational best practices across the organization.
Champion digital transformation and technology integration to enhance productivity and data-driven decision-making.
Operational Oversight & Performance Management
Oversee daily operations across multiple divisions, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and resource optimization.
Monitor key performance metrics and ensure accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement in operations.
Establish operational policies and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards.
Project Management & Execution
Provide executive oversight for major projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
Facilitate risk management and contingency planning to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
Ensure coordination across departments (e.g., finance, HR, logistics, procurement) for seamless operations.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
Build and lead high-performing operational teams; develop clear roles, responsibilities, and performance goals.
Support talent development, succession planning, and capacity building in line with business growth.
Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation throughout the organization.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
Maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, government bodies, and regulatory authorities.
Support the development and implementation of joint ventures, partnerships, and supply chain strategies.
Represent the company in key negotiations and public engagements when delegated by the CEO.

Candidates most likely to succeed in this role typically possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
A minimum of 7 years of progressive operational leadership experience, ideally in a diversified or project-based organization.
Demonstrated experience in managing multi-sector operations (construction, real estate, logistics, or manufacturing preferred).
Strong understanding of process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, TQM) is desirable.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional local or international languages are an advantage.
