Ensure proper dissemination and implementation of the BGI logistics strategy across all sites to guarantee timely, full, and cost-effective delivery of products and material collection.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Mid &Short term Operational strategies aligned with the organization’s goals

• Dissemination and implement Company Transportation strategy and make sure it is implemented across all site uniformly

• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize logistics processes and enhance efficiency.

• Forge strategic partnerships with carriers, negotiating contracts and service agreements to secure favorable rates and terms.

• Employ advanced algorithms and analytical tools to develop and refine transportation routes, minimizing costs and delivery times.

• Continuously assess and adjust routes based on real-time data, considering factors such as traffic patterns, weather conditions, and fuel efficiency.

• Arrange resources and equipment to meet transportation needs.

• Make decisions that balance speed and quality in delivering the transportation plan

• Organize staff shifts and allocate resources efficiently.

• Strategically coordinate delivery schedules to align with customer demands and optimize resource utilization.

• Balance competing priorities to ensure timely deliveries while maximizing operational efficiency and cost- effectiveness.

• Implement performance evaluation frameworks to assess carrier reliability, service quality, and adherence to contractual obligations.

• Identify quality risks in transportation operations and Promote quality awareness among transportation staff.

• Take proactive measures to prevent quality issues and goods damages during transportation.

• Promote safety, health, and environmental awareness among transportation staff.

• Establish efficient processes for reporting accidents, incidents, and near-misses in a timely manner.

• Ensure strict adherence to local and national transportation regulations, including safety standards, customs requirements, and environmental regulations.

• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and proactively implement compliance measures to mitigate risks and ensure legal conformity.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics and transportation.

• Conduct comprehensive cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvement.

• Implement innovative strategies such as route optimization, carrier consolidation, and modal shift to minimize transportation expenses while maintaining service levels.

• Foster seamless communication channels with internal teams, external partners, suppliers, and carriers to facilitate coordination and resolve issues promptly.

• Cultivate collaborative relationships to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and drive operational excellence.

• Identify and mitigate potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain

• Implement and maintain safety protocols to protect employees, assets, and the environment.

• Oversee daily transportation operations and coordinate weekly scheduling and route planning.

• Generate monthly reports to analyze performance metrics and optimize logistics efficiency.

• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with a track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven experience in transportation coordination or logistics management.

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with ERP systems

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
