Job Summary

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will play a pivotal executive role in shaping and executing a unified marketing strategy that aligns with the Group’s transformation agenda. The CMO will lead the company’s brand positioning, digital presence, customer engagement, market research, and product marketing to fuel sustainable business growth and competitive differentiation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and execute MAG’s corporate-wide marketing strategy to drive brand growth, customer engagement, and business development across sectors.

  • Advise the CEO and executive team on market positioning, brand architecture, customer experience, and growth opportunities.

  • Translate business strategy into integrated marketing campaigns aligned with organizational goals.

Brand Management & Corporate Communications

  • Oversee brand development and ensure consistency across all business units, communication channels, and touchpoints.

  • Build and manage strong internal and external communications, public relations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

  • Develop storytelling and media strategies that reinforce MAG’s evolving identity and transformation journey.

Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives including website development, social media presence, digital advertising, and e-commerce where applicable.

  • Utilize data analytics and customer insights to personalize campaigns and improve return on marketing investment (ROMI).

  • Drive customer engagement, lead generation, and loyalty programs through omnichannel strategies.

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct and commission in-depth market research to monitor trends, assess competitor positioning, and identify market gaps.

  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies for product innovation, customer targeting, and geographic expansion.

  • Guide new product launches, value proposition development, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies.

Marketing Operations & Budget Management

  • Lead the marketing department and build a high-performing, creative, and data-driven team.

  • Establish KPIs and marketing performance metrics to ensure accountability and results.

  • Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring strategic allocation and cost efficiency.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with persuasive storytelling and branding capability.

  • Strong analytical, data interpretation, and market forecasting skills.

  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing communications (IMC) and digital tools.

  • High level of initiative, self-motivation, and innovation.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation, CRM platforms, and social media analytics.

Qualifications

Candidates most likely to succeed in this role typically possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in strategic marketing leadership, preferably in diversified or high-growth businesses.

  • Proven track record in brand building, market expansion, and digital marketing transformation.

  • Experience working in multi-sector or international business environments.

  • Demonstrated fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an asset.
