Job Description
The Accountant III is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations within our company.
Handle all daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Process invoices, record accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Generate various financial reports for management to support decision-making.
Prepare and file all statutory obligations, including VAT, income tax, and pension contributions, in line with Ethiopian tax laws.
Ensure timely payment of taxes and compliance with all reporting deadlines.
Stay updated on changes in Ethiopian tax laws and regulations.
Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or in other related disciplines.
Work Experience: At least 4 (Four) years of demonstrated work experience in the stated job position.
Proven expertise in Export & Import company is a plus.
Knowledge of additional Local Language is a plus.

Proficiency in Peachtree.
