Job Description

The Local Procurement Division Head will oversee the procurement process and strategy for local sourcing. This role involves managing a team, developing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize local sourcing.

  • Manage the procurement team, providing leadership and guidance.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Collaborate with other departments to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.

  • ·Prepare reports on procurement activities and provide insights for improvement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 6/8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities.

  • Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Logistics and supply Chain Management or other relevant field; Master’s preferred.

Experience:

  • 6/8 years in procurement management.

  • Experience in local sourcing and vendor management.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
