Yod Abyssinia was established in 2003 with a mission to Yod Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant, one of the pioneering and most reputable cultural restaurants in Addis Ababa that has been introducing proudly the Ethiopian hospitality through diverse cuisines, culture, dance, and music for the last 20 years that meet the need of tourists, business travelers diaspora’s. Currently Yod is engaged in Cultural restaurant, International hotel, Travel and Tour and coffee processing businesses.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end coffee processing operations (wet and/or dry processing).

• Supervise plant staff, including production workers, machine operators, and quality control personnel.

• Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.

• Monitor and optimize production processes to meet quality, yield, and efficiency targets.

• Oversee maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure minimal downtime.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, processing volumes, and quality reports.

• Implement quality assurance programs to meet export or customer standards.

• Coordinate with farmers, suppliers, and logistics teams to ensure timely raw material delivery and shipment.

• Prepare regular reports for management on plant performance, output, and challenges.

• Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Required qualifications

Education

•  Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

•  Minimum 3–5 years of experience in coffee processing or a similar agro-processing environment.

Skills

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Good understanding of coffee processing stages (wet/dry milling, hulling, grading, roasting).

• Familiarity with food safety and quality management systems.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office and basic knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight production schedules.

• Knowledge of coffee standards.
