Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies service requirements and inspects conditions of vehicles;
Receives vehicles for service and/or repair, enters all details on job order slip, job cards and gets the customer signed on job order slip and receives the vehicle for repair and maintenance;
Records customers’ addresses and vehicles particularity in the database;
Ensures that customers are aware of the full extent of service available in the W/shop;
Records defects and informs customers on the pressing problems of the vehicle brought for maintenance/service ;
In case detailed diagnoses is required, arranges for inspection and/or road test before job order slip is completed and customer signs consent for the job order;
Checks and records all remarks seen on the vehicle and list out accessories in the vehicle, during receiving and handovers to customers when the repair work is completed;
Hands over vehicles to technicians as per the receiving check list;
Informs the customer, the progress of the work, and seeks the customer’s agreement before taking up new repair activities;
Registers customers’ remarks, satisfaction or reservations and discusses findings with immediate supervisor or senior customer advisor for appropriate action.
Keeps a logbook of all jobs by date and plate number;
Keeps customers’ enquires, proforma and other service document files in order;
Keeps updated vehicles repair status every day and communicates with customers upon request;
Ensures that all job orders are completed, and vehicle tested on the road;
Performs other related tasks as required.
Job Requirements
From recognized university/collage first degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Automotive Engineering/ Automotive Technology or other relevant field of study and 2 year related work experience
