Title: Service Engineer – Water & Power Solutions

Location: Addis Ababa with travel to project sites

Reports to: Head of Water & Power Solutions Division

Required Number: 1

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission submersible & surface pumps, solar inverters, and Solar back up systems.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance

• Troubleshoot solar systems, RSI/MPPT controllers, and electromechanical equipment.

• Prepare detailed service reports and recommendations.

• Support project handovers and site visits with clients and partners.

Job Requirement:

Qualifications

• Education: BSc or Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in field service within solar and pump industry.

• Willingness to travel to rural and regional sites regularly.

• Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of solar water pumping systems (e.g., Grundfos, Lorentz, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with Solar pumping system.

  • Understanding of hydraulic head calculations, friction loss, and flow dynamics.

  • Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layouts.

  • Fluent in technical communication, both written and verbal (Amharic and English).
