About Deborah Foundation
Deborah Foundation, established in 2019, is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Through a focus on Health, Education, and Policy Advocacy, the Foundation promotes inclusion, empowerment, and access to quality services for children and their families.
The advisor will support the organization to:
Assess and refine the existing organizational structure and governance model.
Review and update key institutional documents (e.g.,organogram, manuals).
Recommend documentation systems that promote transparency, operational efficiency, and legal compliance.
Align internal systems with national regulations and international donor requirements.
Provide practical tools and templates to support institutional documentation and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct an in-depth review of the current structure and documentation systems.
Provide a detailed assessment report with actionable recommendations.
Revise or develop core documents that define the governance and operational framework of the organization.
Design and recommend standardized documentation formats, filing systems, and archiving mechanisms.
Ensure that the organization’s systems meet local legal standards and align with best practices in nonprofit management.
Submit a final report including recommendations, completed templates, and a roadmap for continued system development.
Salary
Net salary- 20,000 ETB
Contract Duration: Two months
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of experience in NGO organizational development, governance, and systems documentation.
Strong knowledge of nonprofit regulatory frameworks and donor compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to develop practical documentation tools and governance frameworks.
Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
Familiarity with the nonprofit sector in Ethiopia is a strong advantage.
