Duties and Responsibilities 

Assist Closely the accounting and finance teamTB and GL Clearing and check the completeness with respect to accuracyManage daily receivables from customers including retentionWeekly AR AP report updates to managementMonthly financials preparation Monthly MIS preparationInventory valuation and managementImportation control and foreign purchase alignment with import teamsAnnual tax complianceFollow up an adjustment and month end JV postings Ensuring books of records are kept in line with IFRSs and local tax laws, preparation of financial reports and forecasts for tax purposeBudgeting and forecast control and reportingCost reporting of business unitsFixed asset control and managementMonitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. Resolve accounting discrepancies.Review transactions to ensure they are properly recorded and books of accounts are balanced, and authorize records of transactions and the opening of general and subsidiary ledger accountsEnsures that fixed asset registers are properly maintainedReview petty cash settlement of accounts teamAnalyses financial information and summarize financial status for submission to the top management.Manages the preparation of monthly COGS & Overhead reportsPreparing cost buildup sheet for import of products and its reconciliationAssist senior management in consulting finance related business, tax , compliance, risk area, budget control and stakeholders managementPrepare fixed asset management of depreciation, amortization and prepaid  costsFollow up government and external audit query and support in providing appropriate supportingReview contracts of vendors and clients contract according to IFRS 16Trace revenue invoicing and validationStatutory TAX compliance settlement in monthly quarterly and annually 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience  

1 At least 5years experience in general account handling 

2 Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or similar field.

3 Relevant Professional qualification IFRS ERCA Tax rules

4 Strong understanding of the various taxes and laws applicable in Ethiopia, as well as accounting Standards IAS and IFRS

5 Demonstrate high levels of integrity

6 Strong computer skills (MS office – excel, word, power point.ERP systems  is an added advantage)

7 Positive attitude, strong communication skills (English and Amharic)

8 Team player, deadline driven, dedicated and passionate

9 Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

10 Attention to detail and analytical skills
