We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Technician to oversee equipment maintenance and service operations in the field. Reporting to the Branch Supervisor or Shop Manager, this role is responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment sold and supported by the company. The technician should be proficient in the removal and installation of components according to service manuals, performing routine maintenance tasks, assembling and installing attachments, and executing basic cutting and welding tasks safely and efficiently. This position requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in the field.

• Responsible for the completion of service work

Must be able to meet all the requirements of a 4th Class Technician as well as work effectively with minimum supervision. Ensures that work assignments are completed according to the time requirement guidelines. The technician will determine which parts are reusable, utilizing the Guidelines for Reusability and other pertinent Service or Parts information.  Will disassemble and properly reassemble components in accordance with the appropriate section in the Service Manual.  This includes, but is not limited to: engines, transmissions, converters, steering clutches, fuel systems, turbo, and water pumps. Successfully completes and applies Level 1 Failure Analysis Training. 

• Ability to install attachments sold and serviced by the company

Assures proper installation of attachments to equipment such as snow wings, plows, rippers, hammers, buckets, and quick couplers. 

• Complies with routine reporting requirements

Completes appropriate paperwork regarding repair assignments. Such as work orders, warranty paperwork and tracking of equipment time.

a. Maintains communications with Branch Supervisor/Shop Manager regarding work orders Establishes and maintains communications with the branch supervisor/shop managers regarding assigned work orders and pertinent details regarding those work orders. 

b. Responsible for maintaining an organized and safe workstation

Conducts an on-going inspection of work area, organizing workstation and removing unsafe conditions. 

• Performs other miscellaneous duties as required  

Gives assistance to other department personnel as required. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Branch Supervisor/Shop Manager.  May be assigned to specialize in specific areas.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with at least 6 years of experience in the industry. 

• Diploma in Auto Mechanic or related fields level IV and above with at least 8 years of experience in the industry.

• Candidates with an associate’s degree in diesel/heavy equipment repair and/or related work experience are given preference.
