Duties & Responsibilities:

• Fabricates parts and components from shop drawings or blue prints.

• Ensure all welding operations comply with safety guidelines.

• Prep and operate TIG welding machines to perform welding tasks.

• Setting up the machine according to the material being welded, aligning the components for welding, and utilizing the machine to create high-quality, precise welds. 

• Plan the layout and determine the appropriate welding equipment and method. 

• Operate tools like arc welders, grinders, and buffing machines. Select and install torch tips, filler rods, and flux based on metal thickness.

• Assess welds to ensure they are clean, error-free, and meet relevant welding codes.

• Work with maintenance engineers to address issues related to damaged ducts and other components.

Job Requirements

• Advanced Diploma/ Level V in auto mechanic or related fields  

• 4 years of welding experience from which 3 years with TIG welding.

• Professional certifications on the area of TIG welding is a plus. 

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and equipment.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve welding-related issues.

• Measurement Skills: Precision in measuring and aligning metal workpiece
