Job Description
Alema Koudijs Feed PLC wants to fill the vacancy on the post of procurement analyst as per the following requirements and descriptions. Alema Koudijs Feed PLC is based in Debre Zeit and is Ethiopia’s major producer of concentrated animal feed. We produce high quality animal feed for poultry, dairy, beef etc. Our product ensures a high productivity and profitability for farmers.
Alema Koudijs Feed PLC wants to fill the vacancy on the post of procurement analyst as per the following requirements and descriptions.
Conduct detailed market research on agricultural commodities, inputs, raw materials and by-products relevant to the company's purchasing needs.
Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics and supply chain developments to substantiate purchasing decisions.
Develop and maintain a network in the agricultural space, including farmers, suppliers, government and industry experts.
Monitor seasonal patterns, weather trends, and risks that may impact commodity availability and quality.
Collaborate with the procurement team to develop procurement strategies that align with market conditions.
Assess and report on competitive intelligence, including competitor sourcing practices and supplier relationships.
Provide technical support during supplier selection in collaboration with our Quality Team.
Contribute to the development of annual purchasing budgets and forecasts, factoring in agronomic insights and market analysis.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management, production planners, and finance teams.
Qualifications and Skills
A person who has at least 3-5 years’ experience
A person who has experience in procurement and agriculture is preferable.
Good Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and outlook
Fluently speaking and writing in English
Able and willing to work extra hours whenever required
The candidate should present sufficient security or collateral for the responsibly he can bear.
BA degree by supply chain mgt, marketing, business management and related field.
Salary------------negotiable
