Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Officer to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department. The HR Officer will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, compliance, and administrative tasks. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring smooth HR operations.
Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
Coordinate and conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs.
Maintain and update employee records (digital and physical) in compliance with legal requirements.
Support performance management processes and track appraisal deadlines.
Assist in employee relations matters, including addressing queries, resolving issues, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
Administer HR-related documentation such as contracts of employment, letters, and forms.
Monitor and track employee attendance, leave requests, and timesheets.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
Support the planning and execution of HR initiatives and training programs.
Participate in HR audits and support reporting requirements.
Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
Proven experience 1–2 years in an HR-related role.
Familiarity with Ethiopian labour law and HR best practices
Skills
Proficient in MS Office and Excel
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality
