Main Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Head, Quality Assurance Service/Car Assembly Plant, the Senior Quality Inspector I, is responsible for ensuring that company products are as per the quality standard of the company by visual dimensional inspection and administrating a whole lot of tests on products; testing product components for quality; ensuring the accuracy of measuring and testing equipment; conducting tests and inspections of components and products at various stages of assembly process.

1. Participates in the planning, organizing and coordinating activities of quality assurance of the production; 

2. Ensures that components and accessories  are as per the specifications set;

3. Ensures that assembled vehicles  are as per the  manufacturers quality standard;

4. Conducts the required tests on the assembled vehicles as per the quality control manual and standard; 

5. Works towards cultivating positive and active awareness of quality assurance in the Plant;

6. Understands the quality management objectives and demonstrates a commitment for the effective implementation of same; 

7. Studies and analyses the cause for quality defects and recommends solutions to curtail the problem;

8. Verifies the Critical Control Point is working as per the requirement;

9. Participates in the development and study of quality standards and procedures;

10. Analyses quality data to check the correctness of the work and recommends remedial actions on observed deviations; records corrective actions taken and the results attained; 

11. Gives continuous orientation to concerned staff to ensure that they have the required level of awareness on quality control and assurance;

12. Checks on customers complaints pertaining quality problems on products; 

13. Performs any other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

From recognized university second degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Automotive Engineering/ Automotive Technology or other relevant field of study, training in quality management and 2 years related work experience

Or

From recognized university/collage first degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Automotive Engineering/ Automotive Technology or other relevant field of study, training in quality management and 4 years related work experience

Or

From recognized college/ TVET level V diploma in Auto-Mechanics/ Automotive Technology/ General Mechanics/ Electricity and 6 years related work experience plus training in quality management

Or

From recognized college/TVET level IV /10+3/ diploma in Auto-Mechanics/ Automotive Technology/ General Mechanics/ Electricity and 8 years related work experience plus training in quality management
