Global Career Institute-GCI is established to train, equip and place Ethiopian Skilled labor force in country and internationally. We have been in existence since 2020 offering various services including Consulting.   We focus on business models in the Digital Era and need a team of developers for our operation and that of our partners.  

We are looking for 3 Junior/experienced  Full Stack Developers who will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying frontend and backend software for  web and mobile applications translating software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within given application frameworks. This is for our local needs and may extend to that of partners abroad. 

This is more of part time and project based employment, and self employed or full time employees in other companies can apply. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Undertake and coordinate the full lifecycle of application, including design, coding, testing, implementation, deployment as well as support and maintenance.
- Developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications

- Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration.
- Ensuring optimization across all platforms including mobile friendly UI/UX.
- Collaborate with and coordinate other developers in cross firm projects  to implement solutions effectively.
- Effectively analyze a problem/task to give accurate timelines for milestones and full implementation completion

Job Requirements

• At least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or  Software Engineering or related Fields

• 1+ years working with MERN Stack and Flutter/React Native Applications 

• Proficiency in Programing languages both for front and and backend                                                                                                                                                 / HTML, CSS, JavaScript for front-end, and Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, and others for back-end development/

• 1+ years of experience with modern frontend and backend frameworks 

• Experience working with telecom applications and wordpress are a plus

• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL  and MongoDB

• Building and maintaining RESTful APIs                                                                                                                           

•  Experience Integrating third-party services                                                                                                                       

• -Experience Optimizing application performance and scalability 

• Experience Collaborating with designers, product managers, and other team members
