We are seeking a motivated and reliable IT Support Officer to join our growing team in Addis Ababa. This is an excellent opportunity for a tech-savvy individual to ensure smooth IT operations and provide critical technical support across various departments. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and ensuring the integrity and security of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and printer issues.

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks.

  • Monitor and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.

  • Respond to user requests and resolve technical problems in a timely and professional manner.

  • Support data backup, recovery, and routine system updates.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, assets, and support logs.

  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers when needed.

  • Assist in implementing new technologies and IT tools for increased operational efficiency.

  • Ensure IT compliance with internal and external data protection and cybersecurity standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in IT support or a similar role.

  • Proficient in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, network devices, and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Familiarity with ERP platforms and system integration.

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist non-technical users.

  • Organized, proactive, and able to work independently or within a team.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with IT asset management systems.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).

  • Familiarity with cloud systems and remote support tools.
