General Overview of Position 

As a Preschool Instructor at LionHeart Academy, you will nurture the development of our Early Years students through play-based, engaging, and age-appropriate learning activities. Your role involves fostering creativity, curiosity, and foundational skills in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Our preschool program incorporates the HighScope Curriculum, emphasizing active learning and developmental appropriateness. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Planning: 

• Design and implement lesson plans aligned with early childhood development principles and LionHeart Academy’s standards. 

• Integrate storytelling, sensory play, and creative exploration to support cognitive, emotional, and social growth. 

2. Instructional Delivery: 

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued. 

• Teach foundational concepts in literacy, numeracy, and life skills using hands-on and engaging strategies. 

3. Student Development: 

• Observe and document children’s development across domains. 

• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental levels, including children with SEN. 

4. Parent Communication: 

• Provide regular updates to parents through progress reports and conferences. 

• Foster strong partnerships with families to support each child’s growth. 

5. Health and Safety: 

• Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times. 

• Monitor health and well-being and respond appropriately to needs and emergencies. 

6. Team Collaboration: 

• Work collaboratively with fellow educators to design integrated experiences aligned with school-wide goals. 

Job Requirements

Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field. 
• Teaching certification or credentials in Early Childhood Development. 
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a preschool setting. 
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is highly valued. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a passion for nurturing young learners. 
• Familiarity with the HighScope Curriculum is a plus.
