Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Driver will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods, employees, and company materials. Key responsibilities include:

• Transportation of Goods and Staff: Safely drive company vehicles to transport goods, materials, and staff to various locations as required.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained and clean at all times, conducting regular inspections, reporting any issues, and ensuring timely repairs.

• Timely Deliveries: Ensure timely delivery of products, documents, and equipment to clients and other relevant parties.

• Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to avoid delays and ensure timely arrival at destinations.

• Compliance with Traffic Laws: Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring safe driving practices at all times.

• Logbook Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any other required information related to vehicle use.

• Emergency Assistance: Provide assistance in case of emergencies, such as delivering urgent supplies or transporting injured staff, as needed.

• Client Interaction: Occasionally interact with clients when delivering products, ensuring professional and courteous service.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Ethiopian Driver’s License (Class 3 or above).

• At least 2 years of experience as a driver, preferably in the corporate or logistics sector.

• Good knowledge of Addis Ababa and surrounding areas, including main routes and traffic patterns.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (Amharic is a plus).

• Excellent driving record with no history of accidents or violations.

• Good physical condition and the ability to assist with loading and unloading goods.

• Responsible, reliable, and punctual with a strong attention to safety.

• Ability to handle minor vehicle maintenance tasks or report vehicle issues promptly.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
