The Opportunity: Import Export Manager (Commercial Manager)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Import Export Manager to lead our commercial import operations. This role is vital in driving sourcing effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and cost-efficient import management that aligns with market demand.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage the full import lifecycle and play a critical role in identifying and sourcing products that fit market needs, while maintaining strong networks with suppliers and stakeholders across borders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source market-relevant products aligned with EATH’s business strategy and consumer needs.

  • Build and maintain robust sourcing networks and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and delivery reliability.

  • Oversee all import/export operations including customs clearance, shipping logistics, and documentation.

  • Ensure full compliance with local and international trade laws, including customs regulations.

  • Monitor and analyze trade data and trends to optimize sourcing and logistics decisions.

  • Lead negotiations with international partners, freight forwarders, and vendors.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of international trade practices and changing regulations.

  • Drive cost optimization and timely delivery through data-driven analysis and proactive issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Logistics, Finance, Sales) to align import activities with business needs.

Team & Performance Management

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

  • Set KPIs and review team performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, agility, and results.

Decision-Making Scope

  • Make strategic sourcing decisions on product selection, volume planning, and supplier engagement.

  • Resolve shipment delays, excess inventory, or compliance issues with minimal operational disruption.

  • Balance market demands with cost, quality, and delivery considerations to drive EATH’s competitive edge.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Sourcing effectiveness and market fit

  • On-time delivery rate

  • Cost per shipment

  • Inventory turnover

  • Customs clearance cycle time

  • Shipment damage/loss percentage

  • Customer satisfaction and service level

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in import/export operations and sourcing.

  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, compliance procedures, and international logistics.

  • Proven ability to source goods that meet market demands efficiently and compliantly.

  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant supply chain software.
