The Opportunity: Chief Sales Officer (CSO) 

As Chief Sales Officer (CSO), you will serve as the National Sales Manager drive development and execution of a commercialization strategy for end-to-end Company focused

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic sales direction and plans for the company with Vision 2035.

  • Create effective sales strategies and lead national sales team to achieve the sales objectives.

  • Develop long-term plans and budgets for the department and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance. Ensure systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the department. 

  • Develop annual and long-term budgets for revenues as well as expenses of the department for the perusal of planned objectives. 

  • Manage and direct company operations to meet budget and other financial goals in collaboration with the CFO.

  • Develop, establish, and direct the execution of commercial operating policies to support overall company objectives.

  • Lead and manage staff under the company policies and procedures. Providing strategy training and mentoring, developing and managing staff development.

  • Develop, monitor, and lead the area’s Sales performance against pre-set KPIs in line with Corporate Strategy, and recommend corrective actions accordingly.

  • Work closely with pricing analysts and sales teams to address contract issues or concerns and ensure product sales ability.

Team Management 

  • Every Dealer Survey to be done with the team,

  • Effective Relationship Management

  • New Account Generation: Open dry outlets and penetrate competitor-exclusive outlets,

  • Critical coaching of employees and training of subordinates for objective achievement

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislation,

  • Ability to build a complementary team using individual strengths, delegation, coaching, and feedback

Decision Making 

  • Performance Management: Build high performance team 

  • Ability to negotiate in competition with other functions and business units for the deployment of resources

  • Decision of Earning and Development

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

  • Sales Volume

  • Competitor Pricing

  • Existing Client Engagement

  • Upsell and Cross-Sell Rate

  • Product Demos

  • Sales Revenue

  • Sales Growth Rate

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Strong listening and questioning skills - outstanding communication,

  •  Interpersonal skills Presentation Skills and excellent negotiation skills

  • Master’s degree in Marketing Management or related field with eight (10) years of demonstrated experience out of which four (4) years in a managerial position 

  • or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management, Business Management, or related fields with ten (12) years of demonstrated experience of which five (5) years in a managerial position. preferably in an FMCG industry
