Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

• Identify and allocate required resources (human, financial, and material) to meet project objectives.

• Establish, manage, and monitor project budgets and ensure financial efficiency and accountability.

• Control project costs and work within budgetary constraints through regular cost reporting and forecasting.

• Monitor contract performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including construction managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.

• Identify construction operation risks early and develop risk mitigation strategies.

• Troubleshoot on-site issues, making operational decisions and avoid project delays or budget overruns.

• Implement and oversee strict quality control processes.

• Prepare contingency plans and manage unexpected challenges and ensure smooth project execution.

• Follow up and ensure compliance with relevant local and federal regulations.

• Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders and ensure clear communication channels.

• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies to safeguard workers and stakeholders.

• Prepare and deliver regular project updates to stakeholders.

• Oversee the transition to property management or operational teams as needed.

Generic Duties of the Position:

• Develop the Project’s work plan and monitor their execution.

• Identify and fulfill human resource requirements of the Project.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Project.

• Monitor and ensure the proper utilization of the Project’s budgets.

• Lead the preparation of Project reports to relevant organs.

• Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.

• Represent the Project in internal and external relationships.

• Take part in the group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees.

Job Requirement

Master’s degree in Construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or relevant fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role, preferably in the construction industry

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or relevant fields of study with a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience, with at least four (4) years in a leadership role, preferably in the construction industry.
