Job Description

Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following position

DURATION; Indefinite Period/Open Contract

SALARY RANGE ;Gross monthly salary of ETB 23,126 - ETB 26,219 plus ETB 8,640.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history

Purpose of the Job:

To ensure whether the Commission’s operations are functioning in accordance with the set policies, procedures applicable laws and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Propose and develop risk-based audit plan for operational audits in both the core and enterprise service functions of the Commission for both HO and BO.

  • Execute operations audit and assess the Commission’s operations, process, financial, compliance and other associated risks.

  • Identify opportunities for improving processes, based on audit outcomes, to minimize risks.

  • Prepare and present quality reports of audit findings and recommendations to the leadership.

  • Identify key risk and control indicators for assigned audit areas.

  • Identify operational risks and make recommendations to manage risks.

  • Maintain documentation for risk assessment and management processes.

  • Perform audit related investigation as directed by Internal Audit Director.

  • Evaluate and revise internal controls and operational and management policies/procedures and recommend improvements as appropriate.

  • Assist management in developing annual audit plan.

  • Ensure compliance with government laws and regulations.

  • for the city office. Manage disciplinary concerns of the city office staff as per the company’s policy.

  • Represent the Commission in external relationships related with the city office.

  • Take part in the group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education BA Degree in Accounting and Finance, or related fields. MSc in Accounting, MBA or related field

  • Experience 6 years of relevant experience for BA 4 years of relevant experience for MA Experience and knowledge of IFMIS is required.

Other

  • Requirements Computer literate. Knowledge of Amharic is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
