 Cadila Pharmaceuticals (Ethiopia) P.L.C, a Joint Venture Company between Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited, India and Almeta Impex P.L.C, Ethiopia, put up a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility for Tablets, Capsules & Liquids at Akaki, near Addis Ababa.  The aforementioned Plant is one of its kind in Ethiopia and the first Pharmaceutical Formulation Manufacturing Plant of the country to receive Certificate of PICS - Conformity in 2011 as per EU guidelines, to comply with the WHO-led regulatory requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & also received cGMP certificate Ethiopian Food & Drug Authority.

IT and Instrumentation

Major propose :

• To ensure functional efficiency of all the plant machineries, production, Utility and QC -Equipment’s.

• To ensure functional efficiency of all electrical LT distribution system, Telecom PBX and Network systems.

• IT Technicians operate and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure that the concerned people get the most effective IT functionality. Some of their main duties and responsibilities include.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To ensure Preventive maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, Computer, Laptop & CCTV camera

• To co-ordinate with various contractors & consultants in matters related to electrical, instrumentation, computer maintenance, Telecom (PBX) and networking works.

• Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization. 

• To develop a workable History card system on to ensure the repetition of the same type of fault is ruled out.

• Installation energy saving equipment’s to increase the productivity & cost of production.

• Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems

• To ensure the proper operation of HVAC, BMS and SCADA system.

• To suggest innovative ideas in terms of automation on manufacturing equipment for improving productivity, reduction of manpower, & reduction in production cost.

• Training of CGMP to all concerned team members.

• To be responsible for Optimum utilization and handling of Engineering Revenue Budget as per the amount.

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

• Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components.

• Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software. Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly

• Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices

• Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation.

• Weekly prepares and submits performance reports to superior regarding work progress, practical problems and suggested solutions, including plan for the next week.

Job Requirements

Requirement: 

• BSc Degree in computer/instrumentation & Electrical Engineering 

Experience: 

• 4 years and manufacturing industry Experience is Preferable.
