About the company
Kurmuk Gold Mine PLC (KGM), a subsidiary of Allied Gold Corp., a publicly listed company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), is engaged in gold mining operations across multiple countries, including Ethiopia, Mali, and Côte d'Ivoire. KGM operates with a Large-Scale Gold Mining License and holds three contiguous Exploration Licenses.

The project is strategically located in western Ethiopia, approximately 750 km from Addis Ababa and about 90 km northwest of Assosa, within the Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State. KGM is actively involved in both mine development and exploration activities at the site.

Kurmuk Gold Mine PLC is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Warehouse Supervisor at our project site in Kurmuk Woreda, Asosa Zone, Benshangul Gumuz.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and maintenance of goods.

  • Ensure accurate inventory control, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Supervise warehouse staff and coordinate with suppliers, clients, and transport companies.

  • Manage the warehouse in alignment with company standards, policies, and vision.

  • Optimize warehouse space usage and implement efficient workflows.

  • Enforce security protocols and ensure compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies and procedures.

  • Uphold standards of health, safety, hygiene, and overall warehouse security.

  • Maintain up-to-date stock records and regularly update data in the inventory system.

  • Prepare and manage the annual warehouse budget.

  • Assign roles, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth team coordination.

  • Generate regular reports and statistics (e.g., stock in/out, dead stock).

  • Collect feedback and monitor the quality of warehouse services.

  • Experience with and familiarity in using ERP systems is an added advantage.

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • BSc in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Admin (technical background preferred).

  • A background in Mechanical Engineering is considered an advantage.

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management (preferably in mining or manufacturing).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills.
