Job Description

TIHUT Psychology is a psychosocial counselling and research center, dedicated to fostering emotional well-being, self-reliance, and social cohesion. The name “TIHUT” means Humbleness, reflecting our commitment to compassion, empathy, and ethical service. In principle, Tihut counselling is a prevention center, not a treatment service provider.

Tihut envisions a community where every young person grows into a self-reliant, emotionally stable, socially responsible individual, capable of making informed life decisions.

We are currently inviting applications for the role of:

Job Title: Youth Counsellor (10 positions)

As a Youth Counsellor at Tihut Psychology, you will be instrumental in supporting adolescents' emotional well-being through prevention-focused counselling. Your role will involve:

  • Conducting group and individual counselling sessions that nurture resilience and self-awareness among youth

  • Designing and facilitating culturally relevant psychosocial interventions in school and community settings

  • Collaborating with program directors and stakeholders to tailor support strategies to youth needs

  • Participating in the development of research and documentation aligned with Tihut’s core values

  • Engaging in reflective supervision and continuous learning, including contributing insights to our resource materials

  • Upholding ethical and empathetic service delivery in all interactions

Job Requirements

We’re looking For Someone Who:-

  • Holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with at least 2 years of professional counselling experience, or

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

  • Has read at least 10 books in the past year, reflecting a strong commitment to personal and intellectual growth (if you are not ready to read one book/month, please don’t apply)

  • Brings passion and sensitivity in engaging with youth

  • Values ethical, culturally inclusive, and trauma-informed counselling practices

  • Is thoughtful, respectful, and eager to grow within a value-driven team
