Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain & repair all ODA vehicles, request and make available spare parts & materials needed to maintenance, make sure that all vehicles are maintained /repaired in quality and report to immediate supervisor in case where the problem is not fixed 

• Inspect vehicle engine, mechanical and electrical components and also vehicle computer and electronic systems

• Prepares models and specifications  for all spare parts & maintenance materials to be purchased

• Request & make available  in store of  all  spare parts & maintenance materials   for vehicles for urgent maintenance and arranged in their model

• Make timely  quality maintenances  and prove it by inspection

• Make sure that all vehicles are serviced according to their schedule

• If maintenance is over  the organization capacity ,or in any other circumstances eg in a field , recommend it to be maintained in outside garage or expert 

• Reports vehicles that are repeatedly need maintenance and request high expenses, to his immediate supervisor for further action 

• Gives professional training and advice for junior auto mechanic  and also for drivers and  motorists on good vehicle use

• Keeps Records of  all maintenance activities, spare parts and materials purchased  and all expenses 

• Make sure that  all spare  parts used for  vehicles maintained out of the organization are original and the replaced spare parts are returned to the store 

• Schedule future maintenance sessions

• Keeps all workplace materials for the job and spare parts  bought in clean, safe place and not to be damaged

• Give Reports of  all maintenance works & challenges occurred

• Commits to support all the efforts of the ODA to prevent and respond to SEA allegations: adhere to the ODAs code of conduct, 

• Performs  other duties assigned  by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

• BSc/ Advanced Diploma (AD)/College Diploma (CD/10+3)/ Technic Diploma (TD) /10+2  in Mechanical Eng., Electrical Eng., Automotive Eng, & other related fields with  COC  

• With respective of 1/3/4/5 years of relevant experience   in GOs or  NGOs. 

•  Driver/Mechanic  with 3rd grade driving license  /public 1/ 

• Fluent in Afan Oromo, Amharic  and  basic English languages 

• Experience of Providing high levels of Customer Service;

  Other requirements 

• No record of criminal, child abuse, violence, neglect, humiliating punishment cases.

•  No exposure and desire for drugs – Alcohol, Chat, and etc.
