AFORO TRADING PLC, with its factory located in Semera Industrial Park, was established with the mission of producing high-quality edible iodized salt and industrial salt to support national efforts in enhancing the intake of essential micronutrients and addressing the widespread challenges of micronutrient deficiencies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, including the repair and servicing of equipment and machinery.
Lead, train, and evaluate the maintenance team to ensure high levels of performance and adherence to safety standards.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
Manage spare parts inventory and procurement of tools and materials.
Collaborate with the Production and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless operations and adherence to quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards related to maintenance operations.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase equipment reliability.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related fields.
2 years in the salt processing sector or 4 years in other manufacturing sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing.
Proven experience in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Computer proficiency, including in Microsoft Office.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
