Job Vacancy: Ticket Officer

Company: Wado Travel Services

Location: Remote (first 6 months), then full-time from office

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary:  Base Salary  + Commission on every air ticket

  • Wado Travel Services is a dynamic and fast-growing travel agency dedicated to offering customized travel solutions. We specialize in air ticketing, group bookings, tours, and corporate travel services.

Position Summary:
 

  • We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ticket Officer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the travel industry. The successful candidate must be proficient in using GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and capable of handling both individual and group travel bookings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Issue and manage domestic and international flight tickets using GDS.

  • Handle group ticketing requests and coordinate logistics.

  • Communicate and negotiate with airline sales managers to secure competitive deals.

  • Provide accurate fare quotations and handle ticket changes, reissues, cancellations, and refunds.

  • Coordinate with airlines and partners to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Support customers with itinerary planning and travel inquiries.

  • Work flexibly and be available after hours when necessary.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a ticketing role.

  • Strong command of GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo preferred).

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Amharic, and basic Oromiffa.

  • Proven ability to negotiate and secure favorable terms with airlines.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to service excellence.

  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ambitious, self-driven, and eager to grow within the company
