About Geneva Global Ethiopia
GGE is an International Non-governmental Organization registered under the Agency of Civil Society Organization with certificate No 1724. GGE has been working in the education sector since 2011 G.C particularly accelerated education program and EiE. Currently Geneva Global Ethiopia is seeking candidates for an upcoming Emergency Response Program for IDPs and host communities in Ethiopia with specific emergency affected target woredas and schools of Oromia and Amhara regions.
Job Overview:
GGE is planning to implement a Multi-Sectoral Education in Emergency support to conflict-affected school children in West Wollega Oromia. GGE is currently seeking a highly motivated Child Protection Referral Focal Person (2 positions) to have responsibility for designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating referral & child protection programs in emergency contexts, ensuring compliance with humanitarian standards. This includes assessing needs, coordinating with partners, building capacity, and providing technical support to field staff as well as reporting on agreed activities.
With the direct supervision of the Regional Project Manager at GGE regional office, She/he is expected to coordinate and facilitate, provide technical support for staff and stakeholders in respective Woreda of region regarding the implementation of program components including referral, child protection, and so that to ensure better learning outcomes through timely implementation, monitoring and evaluation, as well as reporting of agreed activities as to the standard.
Key Responsibilities of a CP Referral Focal Point:
Referral Management:
Update referral tables and track the status of referred patients.
Ensure counter-referral files are sent back to the referring facility.
Evaluate referral proposals and coordinating patient movement.
Update referral tables, sending counter-referral files, evaluating referral proposals, and coordinating patient movement.
Communication and Coordination:
Act as a point of contact for referrals within the organization.
Communicating with referring and receiving facilities.
Ensuring proper follow-up on referred patients.
Interact with referral cases, collect information, and conduct follow-up on referrals.
Support and Monitoring:
Support other areas related to patient management.
Monitor patient progress and identify potential challenges.
Take care of administrative tasks related to referrals (e.g., completing patient files).
Data Management:
Maintain a referral database.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Collaboration:
Work closely with healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
Liaise with relevant teams and authorities.
coordinate referrals, attend meetings, and participate in performance reviews.

Education: Bachelor's in Social work, Psychology and related fields of study.
Experience: A minimum of 2 (two) years’ relevant professional experience in child protection and referral
Communication skills: Fluent in spoken and written English and Afan Oromo.
Relationship building: The ability to build trusting relationships with different stakeholders.
Problem-solving: The ability to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions.
