We are looking for an experienced B2B and B2G Marketing Public Relations Specialist to lead strategic PR initiatives that enhance AVICOM’s brand, build relationships, and effectively communicate our solutions to stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to enhance AVICOM’s corporate image and market presence.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, government PR departments, and industry influencers.

• Prepare and distribute press releases, newsletters, media kits, and other public-facing communication materials.

• Monitor print, broadcast, and digital media coverage, analyzing public perception and preparing regular reports for leadership.

• Plan, organize, and execute press conferences, official events, and brand promotion campaigns.

• Manage AVICOM’s digital platforms, including social media channels, ensuring timely and engaging content for target audiences.

• Lead crisis communication initiatives, proactively managing issues to protect the company’s reputation.

• Coordinate with marketing, business development, and technical departments to ensure brand consistency and aligned messaging.

• Evaluate PR campaign performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Job Requirement

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years’ & above proven experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably in B2B/B2G sectors.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English; Amharic and other local languages are an asset.

• Strong media network and deep understanding of local and regional press environments.

• Proficient in social media management tools, digital PR strategies, and media monitoring software.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with creativity and initiative.

• Experience with crisis communication, brand reputation management, and stakeholder engagement.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant PR or content management tools.

• Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, and content strategy.

• Multilingual communication skills are highly desirable.
