NIGAT Corporate was established as public owned endowment organization in 1995 G.C. As an investment institution it is contributing to the sustainable economic development and prosperity of Amhara region in particular and the country in general, through establishing profitable and competitive companies and using part of the profits for stimulating social development. Given the continued growth and future expansion of NIGAT, the following opportunities exist. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy Development

  • Develops NIGAT’s brand policies and strategy and translate it into operational standards and guidelines up on approval. 

  • Develops and implement strategies that resonate with the target market. 

  • Develops policies and procedures for the Function and lead in their implementation and continuous review. 

Business Development

  • Provides design and direction for collateral, web, product packaging, and other visual communications media for NIGAT.

  • Checks the alignment of the brand management activities with brand positioning and marketing strategies. 

  • Increases brand awareness, relevant differentiation, value, accessibility, and emotional connection. 

  • Research and analyse consumer behaviour, market trends and competitor activity. 

Internal and External Stakeholder Management

  • Represents the Company in external relationships related with the Function. 

  • Works closely with the social development program of the Corporate. 

  • Acts as spokesperson of the corporate. 

Brand Management

  • Anticipates and accommodate new brand identity needs of the Corporation. 

  • Builds brand awareness and increase brand value and profitability. 

  • Works closely with concerned organs to build the corporate’s image. 

  • Identifies and execute opportunities to promote brand through advertising. 

  • Ensures that messaging and marketing activities are aligned with brand and company values. 

  • Educates staff about brand promise and make them to become brand champions. 

  • Reinforces NIGAT’s brand promise at each point of customer contact. 

Operational Delivery

  • Develops, approves, and monitors the Function’s budgets. 

  • Performs additional tasks given by the CEO. 

Business Management

  • Analyses the position of NIGAT as a brand in the market and crystallize targeted customers insights. 

  • Plans and executes marketing initiatives including campaigns, events, sponsorships, and corporate social responsibility programs. 

  • Tracks alignment of advertising campaigns, events etc. against brand standards. 

  • Supports trade fairs, exhibitions and other events held by the business units.

  • Consult marketing initiatives of the BUs. 

Operational Effectiveness

  • Follows-up and ensure the consistent brand application in internal and external communications. 

  • Increases product sales and market share. 

  • Prepares the Function’s work plan and monitor their execution. 

  • Reviews, approves, and submits Function’s reports to relevant organs. 

Performance Management

  • Measures and reports on campaign performance and assess KPIs and ROI. 

  • Supports the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, on-going performance dialogue and feedback. 

People Management

  • Identifies human resources requirements of the Function and develop plan for meeting the requirements. 

  • Oversees the systematic identification of skill and competency requirements for the Function. 

  • Manages disciplinary concerns of the Function’s staff. 

Teamwork

  • Takes part in the group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required

Education

  • PhD/MA/MSc/BA/BSc Degree in Marketing Management,  Economics, Management, Business Management, Business Administration, or related fields. 

Experience

  • 12 years of relevant work experience for PhD degree, 14 years for MA/MSc or 16 years for BA/BSc degree.

Skills Required

  • Multitasking and organizational skills, Creative thinking, Negotiation & communication skills, Commercial Awareness, Time management, Integrity, People management, Industry knowledge, Positive attitude.
