Job Description

A Chinese Food Chef is a culinary professional specializing in the preparation and cooking of authentic Chinese cuisine. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional culinary variations. They are responsible for creating a diverse range of dishes, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update Chinese food menus.

  • Prepare and cook various Chinese dishes.

  • Manage inventory of Chinese ingredients.

  • Select and source fresh, high-quality ingredients.

  • Master traditional Chinese cooking techniques (wok, steaming, braising).

  • Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.

  • Oversee kitchen operations and staff.

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.

  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff.

  • Monitor portion control and food cost.

  • Research and incorporate new culinary trends in Chinese cuisine.

  • Handle special dietary requests and allergies.

Job Requirement:

  • Education: Educational background in a related field of study

  • Experience: 1-3 years

  • We are looking for an experienced chef who can cook Chinese cuisine

  • must know how to cook Chinese food

  • should help with preparing Habesha food

  • will be staying in the company-designated location and will have 2 days leave per month
