Job Summary:

The Refrigeration & A/C Technician is responsible for the effective operation, repair, and maintenance of all HVAC/R systems at MINAB Wellness Club. This includes chillers, freezers, cold rooms, air handling units, fan coil units, ventilation systems, refrigerators, ice machines, and other bar and kitchen cooling equipment. The technician ensures smooth functionality through planned preventive maintenance (PPM), quick response to breakdowns, and a strong commitment to safety and guest comfort.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, routine inspection, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and electronic components.

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including:

• Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), chillers, ventilation and exhaust systems

• Walk-in cold rooms, freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and bar refrigeration units

• Execute planned preventive maintenance schedules and ensure all PPM tasks are completed timely and effectively.

• Perform routine equipment inspections at least once per shift to ensure continuous and efficient operation.

• Prioritize and resolve breakdowns promptly, especially in response to guest service requests.

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including associated electrical and mechanical components such as controls, pumps, chilled water lines, and ventilation ducts.

• Review technical manuals and service documents to understand the principles of operation and improve professional handling of equipment issues.

Job Requirements

Position Requirement:

• Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning from a recognized technical or vocational institution.

• Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

• Alternatively, a diploma in Electricity, Electronics, or General Mechanics with proven experience in HVAC/R systems.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of tools, machines, and materials used in HVAC/R maintenance and repairs.

• Ability to read and interpret as-built drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.

• Strict adherence to safe working practices and safety regulations.

• Ability to handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

• Effective team player with strong communication skills in English and local languages (both verbal and written).
