China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is a leading international contractor with a strong presence in Ethiopia. Our Design Office is dedicated to delivering innovative, technically sound, and sustainable engineering solutions to complex infrastructure projects.

CCECC Design Office is looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Sanitary Engineer to join our professional design team. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of relevant experience in designing sanitary systems and fire-fighting networks. Experience in irrigation system design will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and BOQs for water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems for building and infrastructure projects.

• Lead the design of fire-fighting systems, ensuring compliance with national and international codes (e.g., NFPA).

• Coordinate with structural, electrical, and architectural teams for integrated design delivery.

• Conduct hydraulic calculations and ensure proper sizing of pipelines, pumps, tanks, and fixtures.

• Provide site support and supervision during construction phases when required.

• Review and approve design documents submitted by subcontractors or consultants.

• Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and progress updates.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the department.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sanitary Engineering or Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa University (Mandatory).

• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of solid experience in sanitary and plumbing design.

• Proficient in designing fire-fighting systems.

• Knowledge of irrigation systems is a strong plus.

• Strong command of design software such as AutoCAD, Epanet, Revit MEP, or similar.

• Familiarity with national and international design standards and codes.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• High level of technical accuracy and attention to detail.
