Job Description
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visual concepts that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. This role involves overseeing the design process, from conceptualization to delivery, managing junior designers, and collaborating with other departments to create cohesive designs that reflect the company’s brand and meet market needs.
Responsibilities:
Lead graphic design projects from concept through completion.
Coordinate with other graphic designers, marketing specialists, and external vendors.
Develop and frame creative concepts according to creative brief requirements.
Apply brand identity systems, typography, photography, color, and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs.
Visualize, design, and conceptualize user experiences.
Create visual prototypes or screens.
Extend existing visual systems/brand guidelines across all mediums with moderate design changes or interpretation.
Provide quality control over concepts and projects.
Guide and mentor junior designers, including providing clear creative direction and timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on budget and schedule.
Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments.
Conduct press checks, approve prints, and artwork, and coordinate with external agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
Contribute to the development of the company’s creative culture and quality standards.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field.
Proven 4 year experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer, or similar role.
Portfolio of completed design projects.
Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts, and layouts.
Attention to visual details.
Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
Advanced proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach.
Ability to lead and mentor junior designers.
