Job Description
Make payments against written orders and obtains receipts; thoroughly checks for fulfillment of approval by the authorized officials of the Company before effecting payments to requesting parties;
Count and collect cash against supporting documents, give changes to clients as required and issues receipts;
Encode the transaction data in a cash register machine in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements;
Deposit cash collections at bank and draw cash from bank against written orders;
Keep records of amounts received and paid at the beginning and end of each period of duty and reconciles cash balance with records;
Keep the petty cash of the Company;
Effect petty cash payments upon presentation of approved supporting documents;
Maintain a petty cash register book/summary of the petty cash transactions;
Follow up on the petty cash balance and request for timely replenishment;
Keep banknotes and denominations (changes) or other negotiable instruments sorted to avoid possible errors and facilitate disbursement;
College / TVET Level IV Diploma in Accounting, Accounting and Finance or related field
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
Good knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
Efficiency in basic mathematics skill (counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)
Cash register machine operating skills
Accounting Software Skill
