Job Description

The general storekeeper is responsible for proper storage of the material purchased in the store and then issuing it to respective departments on approved requisition. It ensures that all inventory movements are posted into the ERP system (Business Central) and SIV/SRV are reported to finance regularly. It ensures that the warehouse is kept safe from damage and inventory is safely protected. It also is purchased by Generator on time.

Duties & Responsibilities:

        Warehouse Management and inventory handling

  • Record all received and issued goods in ERP system (BC) and Excel database and make daily reconciliation. 

  • Prepare detailed movement of stock in the Excel format and perform daily traceability of materials. 

  • Identify and segregate the stock accordingly based on their usage and batch.

  • List of property on the hand of employees (property custodian) record for asset.

  • Make sure the minimum order point is maintained. Compile and send the stock level to different departments for a purchase order to be raised. 

  • Make sure all inventory balance is equal with actual count and investigate if there is any variance.

  • Make sure all stock requests are made through ERP system (Business Central).

  • Kept the warehouse in order and labeled as per nature of Materials. 

  • Prepare store return voucher for all returning goods via ERP system (Business Central).

  • Physical count with record in the excels database and ERP system.   

  • Compare and reconcile stock in excel vs system balance (BC).

  • Segregation of products the one that are damaged from active stock.

        Good Recording Keeping

  • 100% utilization of ERP system (Business Central) to record all stock movements accordingly. 

  • Ensure daily stock movement properly recorded in the excel data base and on ERP business central.

  • Perform shift (daily) reconciliation of system and actual stock balance.

  • Ensure 0 stock variance during monthly and year end count.

  • Effective utilization of resource

  • Ensure storage space is properly utilized. 

  • Rigorously implement FIFO.  

  • Proper handling of operational resources, pallet jack etc. 

    Teamwork

  • Works towards collective results with other people of his/her own accord.

  • Up with ideas on how to improve on collective results.

  • Nominates problems within his/her team/group and commits him/herself to solving them jointly.

  • Take actions that stimulate teamwork.

Job Requirements

  • BA degree in accounting and finance or a related field of study from a recognized university.

  • More than 2 years’ experience in FMCG sector.

  • Understanding of supply chain procedures (Order to Payment)

  • Technical skills: Arrange the goods in order and label them.

  • Computer skills (ERP system Business Central, navigating Outlook email, and Microsoft Excel).

  • Good communication skills. 

  • Ability to multitask.
