Job Description
DEC is a local CSO established in 2007 and re-registered in May 2019 as per the new Authority for CSO Proclamation by the Ethiopian government, bearing a registration number of 0009. The organization has five major programs: Child Well-being and Education Development Program, Gender and Life Skill Development, Employable Skills Development Program, Advocacy, and Humanitarian Emergency Program. DEC actively works in six National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia, namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit for the following position.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide psychosocial support to GBV survivors and other vulnerable groups.
Facilitate referrals to health, legal, and protection services in line with survivor-centered principles.
Conduct needs assessments and follow-up support for GBV survivors, including those receiving cash support.
Support the operation of Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) by facilitating group sessions and one-on-one counseling.
Maintain proper documentation and case management systems with confidentiality and integrity.

Qualification BA/MA
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related fields
NGO/CSO Experience
2 years
Additional skill
Relevant experience in GBV, child protection, or case management.
Fluency in Afar Af or Amharic is a strong asset.
Strong understanding of survivor-centered approaches and “Do No Harm” principles.
