Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Kindergarten Assistant Teacher to join our Kindergarten team at Tibebe Academy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commitment to early childhood development, professional conduct, and a nurturing approach to working with young children.
The Kindergarten Assistant Teacher supports the main teacher in implementing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children aged 4–7. The assistant helps with daily routines, classroom management, and activity facilitation while ensuring the well-being of all children in accordance with Ethiopia’s Early Childhood Care and Education standards.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
A certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, or a related field is preferred.
At least 1 year of experience working with Kindergarten-aged children
Experience in handling students with special needs is also highly valued
Basic understanding of child development and early learning principles..
Fluent in (Amharic and English); other local languages are a plus.
