Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

To the efficient and effective management of financial resources, compliance with regulations, and the smooth operation of administrative functions by overseeing all financial and administrative operations of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Provide accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and take proactive measures on overdue accounts.

  • Oversee timely and accurate payment of invoices.

  • Design and implement the necessary controls to protect the Company’s assets.

  • Monitor the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

  • Lead the implementation of training and development programs.

  • Implement performance appraisal systems and manage employee performance issues.

  • Administer competitive compensation and benefits packages.

  • Foster a positive work environment, address employee grievances.

  • Oversee the smooth operation of office facilities, including maintenance and office supplies.

  • Streamline administrative processes.

  • Coordinate with IT support to ensure smooth operation of company IT systems.

  • Manage IT budgets and procurement.

  • Supervise the security management of the company.

Generic Duties of the Position:

  • Develop the Department’s work plan and monitor their execution.

  • Identify and fulfill human resource requirements of the Department.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Department.

  • Monitor and ensure the proper utilization of the Department’s budgets.

  • Lead the preparation of Departmental reports to relevant organs.

  • Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.

  • Represent the Department in internal and external relationships.

  • Take part in the group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees.

Job Requirement

  • Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management or relevant fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience, with at least three (3) years in a managerial role, preferably in the manufacturing industry 

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management or relevant fields of study with a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience, with at least four (4) years in a managerial role, preferably in the manufacturing

Reports to: DECO, Manufacturing Planning & Operation Support

Unit/Department:  Ayat, Manufacturing Planning & Operation

Location: Addis Ababa
