Job Description
Purpose of the job:
To optimize cost, quality, and delivery of procurement goods and services by developing procurement plans, managing inventory levels and, implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement annual and long-term procurement plans.
Collaborate with various departments to forecast procurement needs.
Monitor and adjust procurement plans as needed to accommodate changes.
Conduct comprehensive spend analysis and identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, reports, and metrics.
Provide regular reports to the senior management.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic sourcing, demand management, and process improvements.
Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and economic indicators.
Support negotiations with suppliers by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to achieve the best possible terms.
Collaborate with the finance department and verify the alignment of procurement activities with the company’s budgetary goals.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement planning, analysis, and reporting efficiency.
Lead initiatives to automate routine tasks and reduce manual processes, improving accuracy and reducing lead times.
Generic Duties of the Position:
Develop the Department’s work plan and monitor their execution.
Identify and fulfill human resource requirements of the Department.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Department.
Monitor and ensure the proper utilization of the Department’s budgets.
Lead the preparation of Departmental reports to relevant organs.
Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.
Represent the Department in internal and external relationships.
Take part in the group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees.
Job Requirement
Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience, with at least four (4) years in a leadership role OR Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields of study with a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience, with at least four (4) years in a leadership role
