Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of function’s strategic plans.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify growth opportunities and optimize product offerings.
Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all departments.
Initiate new product lines and services to expand the business.
Optimize Production processes to ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize waste
Oversee the development and implementation of Production schedules.
Monitor Production output and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all workshop equipment.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Manage custom fabrication projects from design to completion.
Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive quality management system.
Enforce quality control standards.
Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new customers and expand existing accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and suppliers.
Ensure customer satisfaction and address any customer concerns or complaints.
Monitor and control costs and implement cost-saving measures.
Oversee the proper preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements.
Ensure the proper management of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Generic Duties of the Position:
Lead the development of the Function’s work plan and monitor their execution.
Monitor and ensure the proper utilization of the Function’s budgets.
Direct the identification and fulfillment of human resources requirements of the Function.
Supervise the development of policies and procedures for the Function and lead in their implementation and continuous review.
Review, approve and submit functional reports to relevant organs.
Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.
Oversee the systematic identification of skill and competency requirements for the Function.
Represent the function in external relationships related with the Function.
Take part in the group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees
Job Requirement
Qualifications and Experience:Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Management or related fields with a minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Management or related fields with a minimum of twelve (12) years of demonstrated experience, with at least six (6) years in a leadership role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
