Job Purpose:- Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Their role involves coordinating teams, managing resources, and communicating with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Project Planning & Initiation
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to anticipate challenges.
Establish project governance and define roles and responsibilities.
2. Resource & Budget Management
Identify and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, tools, and technology.
Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring cost efficiency.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers when needed.
3. Team Leadership & Coordination
Assemble and lead a cross-functional team, ensuring collaboration and productivity.
Provide guidance, motivation, and conflict resolution within the team.
Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address concerns.
4. Execution & Monitoring
Oversee daily project operations, ensuring tasks are completed as per the plan.
Utilize project management tools to track progress, manage tasks, and monitor KPIs.
Implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet standards.
Identify and mitigate risks proactively.
5. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, clients, and executives.
Prepare and present project status reports, including performance metrics and financial updates.
Address stakeholder concerns and incorporate feedback into project adjustments.
6. Risk Management & Problem-Solving
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
Resolve project-related issues efficiently to prevent delays.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
7. Project Closure & Evaluation
Conduct post-project evaluations to assess success and areas for improvement.
Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
Ensure proper handover of deliverables and project documentation.
Education
Bachelor’s degree /Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, or a related field;
Professional certifications in Construction Management are preferred
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Cotem within the construction industry, with at least 6 years in a senior management role.
Skills
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
Experience with project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera).
Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
