Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to coordinate the company’s transport operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient use, maintenance, and compliance of the company’s vehicle fleet, with a strong focus on cost-effectiveness, performance, and safety.
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating the efficient operation, maintenance, and utilization of the organization’s vehicle fleet. This role ensures that all vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with regulatory standards, and optimally deployed to support company objectives.
Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle dispatch, routing and scheduling
Monitor and analyze fuel consumption and develop a plan to improve cost efficiency
Coordinate preventive maintenance and timely repairs to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate records of vehicle performance, insurance, and licensing
Supervise drivers ensuring adherence to company transport policies and procedures
Utilize GPS tracking and fleet management systems for performance monitoring and reporting
Ensure all transport operations comply with relevant national transport regulations and safety protocols
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Automotive Technology, or closely related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in fleet operations
Proficiency in fleet management systems
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and traffic regulations
